Kathryn (Katy) Tucker Ortiz y Pino, MPH, is the program director for the Participatory Evaluation Institute. She has ten years of experience in health promotion planning and evaluation with communities in Africa, Central and South America, and Southern Arizona. Since 2017, she has worked as a participatory evaluator and researcher on a variety of projects in Southern Arizona, particularly along the US-Mexico border.

Georgia Weiss-Elliott, MA (she/they) is a Lead Participatory Evaluation Specialist who has been working in public health programming since 2018 and evaluation since 2021. She holds a master’s degree in Geography from the University of Arizona and also provides expertise in participatory approaches, map making (GIS and cartography) and data visualization.

A lifelong U.S.-Mexico border resident, Priscila is a passionate public health professional dedicated to advancing health equity for marginalized communities in the border region.

Carlos Figueroa
Database Administrator
Carlos Figueroa is part of the Center for Participatory Prevention, Evaluation and Action Research (PEAR) in the Public Health Department of the University of Arizona as a data manger specializing in community based data collection. Since joining the PRC/PEAR Center in 2020, Carlos has worked on numerous projects across the southern Arizona border region. Previously, Carlos worked as a lab coordinator in a neurocognitive research lab studying cognition, memory, sleep, and language development.

Maia Ingram, MPH, is Co-Director of the Particpatory Evaluation and Action Research Center. Ms. Ingram has expertise CBPR, participatory evaluation and qualitative research methods which she has applied in partnership with community health centers, local health departments and grassroots agencies in rural, urban and US-Mexico border communities. Ms. Ingram is committed to providing support to evaluation partners in using evaluation findings to sustain their efforts.
