The ADHS Suicide Prevention Program develops and implements the state plan for suicide prevention by engaging with priority populations, building program capacity, and funding suicide prevention training and capacity building activities.

Arizona Bright Futures strives to increase the capacity for providing youth suicide prevention and early intervention strategies in Arizona with a pilot project in Cochise County.

The goal of Salud en Accion is to reduce barriers to adult colorectal cancer screening, increase access to affordable and healthy foods, and improve health literacy and social connectedness.
Assessments
Primary Partner: Yuma County Public Health Services District
The PEI worked with the Yuma County Public Health Services District and a steering committee to conduct the 2023 Yuma County Community Health Assessment. The PEI then worked with the YCPHSD to facilitate the 2025 Community Health Improvement Plan process.

The PEI worked with the Pima Couty Health Department, TMC, other nonprofit hospitals and a steering committee to conduct the 2021 and 2024 Pima County Community Health Needs Assessments.

Primary Partners: City of Tucson Environmental and General Services Department
The PEI conducted two neighborhood assessments with the La Doce and the Thrive in the ‘05 neighborhoods in Tucson. The purpose of the Community Health Assessments was to identify specific public health challenges and assets for residents within the target neighborhoods and identify opportunities to reuse brownfields to strengthen existing assets and prioritize community health improvement.
