Participatory Evaluation Institute
The Participatory Evaluation Institute (PEI) partners with organizations throughout Arizona for community-engaged, collaborative and impactful evaluations and assessments.
The Participatory Evaluation Institute (PEI) partners with organizations throughout Arizona to support robust evaluations and assessments for effective public health programs. The PEI employs the principles of participatory evaluation and has developed deep partnerships with organizations throughout Arizona with a focus on the US-Mexico border region.
Along with participatory evaluation, we offer support with database management, mapping and geospatial analysis, data visualization, and writing and design of dissemination materials. Working with diverse organizations and communities, we support our partners in navigating both federal and local funding opportunities. Our work spans health and prevention areas including adult and youth suicide, sexual violence, substance use disorder, health literacy, chronic disease, community health worker professional development, COVID-19 response, teen pregnancy, environmental justice and more.
The Participatory Evaluation Institute is part of the Participatory Evaluation and Action Research Center at the University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. Our work is grounded in a Community Based Participatory Research approach for which the PEAR Center is known.
